Dr. Bill Woods, ODDr. Woods attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, from 1974-1978, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. He has served on numerous optometric boards over the years. He opened his practice in Paulding county Sept 3, 1979 on Marietta Hwy. Due to road construction, the practice moved to its current location on Merchants Dr in October 1995. After over 30 years of practice, he continues to genuinely care for his patients. He enjoys getting to know them, and would go crazy if all he did was to sit in a dimmed room all day asking "which is better, one or two". Each patient is an individual with different needs and situations. The stories of each are wonderfully varied, colorful, and always insightful. His eye examinations are never rushed, never hurried - your eyes are important to you, that means they're important to us. We treat each patient like we would want to be treated - like family! He has been married to his wife, Janis over 27 years, and has enjoyed his time spent with his son in Boy Scouts, his daughter on numerous swim teams, and with both kids as a "marching band" parent. Now both are out of high school, one working, one a special education teacher in Paulding County, but he's still busy! JanisJanis is our office manager, and she's always where a manager should be, right in the thick of things. She makes sure everything and everyone are working together for our patients. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and efficiency motivate us to give our best. She often laughingly refers to herself as "the spare part", and plays a big role in our dispensary where she works hard at making you look your best! With a phone call, a note, or a word of encouragement, she helps get it all done right and on time. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, camping, and singing in her church choir. KathyKathy is that kind, caring voice on the phone with a passion to do things right the first time! Whether it's making our schedule fit yours, or helping with an insurance problem, rest assured that Kathy will take very good care of you! Along with running the front desk, she takes care of billing and insurance for Dr. Woods, so if your question involves either one, she's got the answer! PamPam is our optician/lab technician, and offers our patients the benefit of over 28 years of optical experience. She is an expert at helping you select just the right frame and lenses to best suit your needs and lifestyle. Her optical skills are equal only to her enthusiasm and dedication to our patients and staff!
